ADA and other access routes
One can obtain access between the North and South Wings of the Main Building through the following ways:
ADA Routes
1. First Floor Level: Through the covered travel way running between the South and North Wings. Important: Water and ice could appear from time to time within the travel way. Members of the Grounds Department will do their best to insure treatment to any icy surfaces that appear, but please use caution when walking through this travel way.
2. Ground Level: Along the sidewalks leading out of the North and South Wings past the bus stop at the bottom of the front steps and then progressing to the opposite Wing.
Other Routes
1. First Floor Level (Front of building): The main stairs at the front of the building and the south portion of the patio area outside of the travel way will remain open.
2. Third Floor Level (Rear of building): At the rear of the South and North Wings, as indicated below.
Until late February or early March, the area to the rear of the Core between the North and South Wings, including all of the asphalt surfaces and walkways up to the back roadway, will be a construction area and will be accessible only periodically. When the contractors are using this area, no access will be allowed and Construction personnel will be posted to direct people to seek other routes between the Wings. We ask for your patience in those instances where you will need to find alternative routes.
Beginning in late February or early March, access at the rear of the South and North Wings at the Third Floor Level should be available during school hours.
3. Fourth Floor Level (Rear of building): From the South Wing, Exit at the Fourth Floor Level, cross over to the North Wing, go down the stairs into the Third Floor Level Entrance. Follow this direction in reverse to get from the North Wing to the South Wing. If the contractors are using this area, the same restrictions and conditions which apply to the Third Floor (Rear) Level will also apply to this route. Again, we ask for your patience in those instances where you will need to find alternative routes.
