Admission & Enrollment Process

Important Deadlines

June 10: Priority deadline for financial assistance consideration
August 22: Deadline for general dual enrollment
September 12: Last day to add classes for students who meet all other application deadlines

Students interested in dual enrollment should:

  • Attend an information session
  • Complete our Dual Enrollment Application
  • Make an appointment with the Testing Center to take the ACCUPLACER placement test if:
    • You have never taken ACCUPLACER placement tests at GCC or another
      Massachusetts community college.
    • You have not taken college level English and passed with a C or better at
      another college.
    • You have not taken a college level math course and passed with a C or better in the
      last five years.
    • You have not taken the ACCUPLACER math test within the last five years.

  • Attend an orientation and registration event. This event for students and families will include:
    • A college orientation session
    • Admission and registration information
    • Information for students and families.
    • Student session will include:
      • An overview of GCC’s academic programs
      • An introduction to our online tools and support
      • Advising and course registration
    • Parent/guardian session will include:
      • Information on transition, student success and support
      • Time for questions
    • You will receive information about how and when to attend an orientation and registration event once your application has been processed.
