GCC Celebrates Newly Dedicated Areas on Campus
Posted on Thursday January 3rd 2013
We are pleased to have held three dedication ceremonies recognizing naming gifts since the publication of the last issue of The Catalyst.
Cohn Family Dining Commons
Given as a gift by Robert and Mary Cohn in honor of Arline L. and Simon L. Cohn who helped start the college 50 years ago, this light-filled gathering space for students and the community shines bright.
Rice Family Greenhouse
US Congressman John Olver and Tim Rice, representing Don and Sherry Rice, provided the funding for this project through a congressionally-directed US Department of Energy grant from Congressman Olver and a private donation from the Rice family. GCC President Robert Pura was present to extend thanks from the college community.
Channing & Marie Bete Veterans Center
Pictured left to right at the ribbon cutting are Kevin Leszczynski, President of GCC’s Veterans Club, and Michael Lewis, Vice President of GCC’s Veterans Club, with GCC supporters Marie and Channing (Joe) Bete and GCC President Robert Pura.
