About this opportunity

Prepare and lead age appropriate activities, games, and/or projects with children in family shelters in Massachusetts. Foster healthy interactions and play with children

Prepare and lead age appropriate activities, games, and/or projects with children in family shelters in Massachusetts. Foster healthy interactions and play with children
Maintain communications with Playspace Program staff

Required student qualifications

  • Anyone over 18 years old or 16- and 17-year olds with parental supervision
  • Strong interest in working with children ages 0-6 and a sensitivity to homeless issues is required
  • Preschool or elementary teaching experience is a plus

Timeline

Timeline: Must attend Horizons Training first, check website for upcoming trainings
Start Date: after training
End Date: 6 months after start
Desired Hours per week: 2

We require a commitment of one two-hour shift per week at the same time and day for a minimum of six months. Shifts are available weekdays between the hours of 8:00am and 8:00pm. Days and times vary by location.
