More recommendations for dealing with disruptive behavior are included in the  Prof Hacker column at the Chronicle of Higher Education who writes regularly on suggestions about how to deal with  the classroom bully and classroom disruptive behavior. Additional information has cautioned about campus security and mental health profiling.  Others  such as Professor Mary Hoeft, in an article entitled, Professors in the Crosshairs, have suggested education and training for teaching staff and student development staff is paramount.  From a new book, entitled No Right to Remain Silent: What we’ve learned from the tragedy at Virginia Tech, author Lucinda Roy suggests that clear communication,  inside and outside the academy, as well as clear  policies are paramount.
