Southeastern MA Regional Readiness Conference
“Pathways to College Readiness and College Success”

April 13, 2011Indian Pond Country Club, Kingston, MA Over 300+ faculty, administrators, and policy-makers from both secondary and post-secondary education will gather to discuss the transition from high school to college, the changing environment for MA public education, and how to set more students on the path to success in college.

Massachusetts Community College 14th Annual Conference on Teaching, Learning and Student Development to be held at Mass Bay Community College on Friday, April 15th, 2011. The title of this year’s conference is “The Academic Spectrum: Helping Underprepared Students Prepare, Prepared Students Advance, Advanced Students Excel.” The keynote speaker is Dr. Rebecca Goosen, Dean for the College of Preparatory Studies, San Jacinto College, Houston, Texas. Dr. Goosen is an expert in the field of preparatory studies. She is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum (ALF) and serves regularly in leadership positions for NADE (National Association for Developmental Education).

New England Development Faculty Consortium holds an annual Fall and Spring focused conference. The New England Faculty Development Consortium (NEFDC) was founded in 1998. The group evolved from the work of individuals engaged in faculty development at a number of Massachusetts colleges and universities.  Take advantage of early bird registration before May 6th, for the May 20th conference at Holy Cross College in Worcester.  The focus is: Mentoring for Good Teaching and Successful Learning.  Contact Michelle Barthelemy for more information.
