The Learning Assistance Association of New England [LAANE ]Conference at GCC on Friday October 26. All Day. LAANE supports educators who are working with under-prepared, at-risk, and nontraditional students in their pursuit of a post-secondary education. New England Faculty Development Consortium [NEFDC] Fall Conference: Friday November 16, 2012 at Holy Cross College, Worcester MA. Recent research on the state of collegiate learning suggested that today’s students are “academically adrift.” At the conference, Josipa Roksa, co-author with Richard Arum, of Academically Adrift: Limited Learning on College Campuses (University of Chicago Press, 2011), will speak about the research behind the book .
