Last week, the Federal Department of Education released new Student Pell Grant Eligibility Limits. These limits apply to all Pell Grant recipients, regardless of when you first began receiving Pell Grant funds.
How can I see my Lifetime Eligibility Used (LEU) percentage?
In mid-July 2012, you will be able to log on to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) Student Access Web site using your Federal Student Aid PIN and view your LEU. The LEU will be found on the Financial Aid Review page.
How can I learn more about Pell Grants?
For more information about Pell Grants and how much you might receive in a year, visit the Federal Department of Education’s Pell Grant page. If you have questions regarding your Pell Grant or the LEU, you can contact the financial aid office.
All Pell Grant recipients are responsible for knowing their LEU. The Financial Aid Office will notify students who have reached their Pell Grant Limit (600%) in the next few weeks. You will receive the notification by U.S. Mail.
More information will follow in the upcoming months. In the meantime, if you have questions, please contact us. Our office is opened Monday through Thursday from 8:30am – 5pm, and closes at 4pm on Fridays.
