The following links will give you more information about financial aid. The Financial Aid Office provides these links as a service only and does not endorse any commercial web site.

Federal and Massachusetts Government Web Sites:

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): The FAFSA is required by many colleges and universities for financial aid, including GCC. Students can complete the application on the Web and look up federal school codes.

FSA for Students: This site is the student's portal to the U.S. Department of Education's Federal Student Aid (FSA) programs. The site provides details about the entire financial aid process, from considering which college to attend, to applying for aid, to repaying loans.

Massachusetts Board of Higher Education (BHE): Students can find out about scholarships, grants, and tuition waivers, as well as the Massachusetts Joint Admissions Program.

Students.gov: This site is the U.S. Government-wide initiative to deliver electronic, Web-based services from government agencies and organizations to postsecondary students.

Veteran and Military-Related Web Sites:

Massachusetts Army National Guard Education Benefits:
This site provides information about education benefits available to members of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

Selective Service System: Did you know that if you are a male 18 through 25 years of age and you have not yet registered with Selective Service, you need to do so, to receive Federal Financial Aid? This site allows you to register with the Selective Service on line if you are required to do so.

Veterans' Education Benefits: The site informs students about the kinds of benefits available to U. S. military veterans.

Loan Web Sites:

The MEFA Loan: This site provides information and access to several low-cost borrowing options for Massachusetts students.

Student Loan Net: Chase's web site gives information about financing education and links to searching for scholarships.

TERI Alternative Loan: This site provides information about loans offered by The Education Resources Institute (TERI), which are available to all creditworthy students regardless of residency.

Other Web Sites:

The College Board: This site includes information about loans and other financial sources and links to the Profile form, used by many private colleges to determine eligibility for financial aid.
