The term "white privilege" is not yet being used as a subject heading, but the phrase is commonly being used in language.  Therefore, it can be searched as a keyword phrase in electronic databases (or indexes) of periodical literature.  Other suggested keyword terms and phrases are:  whiteness, whites, black disadvantage. 

Another strategy would be to use the keyword search <white* and privilege*>, truncating the words to include all endings of those words.  Subject headings found in these articles that are also good search terms for similar information are: racism, white women (or men), race relations, race discrimination, whites in popular culture, affirmative action, discrimination in education.

The following GCC databases would be appropriate for locating literature on this topic.  Try searching by author for writers on this topic such as Peggy McIntosh, Robert Jensen, Paula Rothenberg, Tim Wise, and others mentioned in the book lists linked to this page:
