Library Computers and Media Equipment
Computers
The Library’s Computer Lab is available for public use unless a class is in session. Public Computers are also available in N403A and N404A. You can also check out a Wireless Laptop to use while you’re in the Library. Ask for one at the Circulation Desk. All Library public computers have:
- CD/DVD (non-writable), Floppy, and Zip drives
- USB ports
- Connection to the public printer
- Internet access
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, FrontPage, Publisher)
- Adobe Reader
- Media players/readers for all programs used in Blackboard
One computer in the Lab is set up for magnified text for visually impaired students. Headphones for all computers are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk.
Printer
Free black & white laser printing is available on the public printer in the hall across from the Reference Desk.
Scanner
One of the public computers in N403A is equipped with a scanner. While no color printing is available, you can save scanned items to your disk or thumb drive
Photocopier
A coin-operated photocopier is available in the Library. Copies cost $.10 per page.
Microfilm Reader/Printer
The Library offers one microfilm reader, which is attached to a computer and printer. This setup allows you to scan and print an article, including photographs and other images.
Text Magnifier
A text magnifier to facilitate reading books is located in N403A.
Video Viewing Room
Two video viewing stations are located in the back of N403A. Headphones are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk.
