GCC Board of Trustees approves new Vision and Mission Statement

July 7, 2008

The Greenfield Community College Board of Trustees has endorsed the revised GCC Vision and Mission Statement. The new statement about GCC, which was adopted by unanimous vote of the College Assembly in May, is in many ways a reflection of the college's past, as well as an intended, explicit and purposeful guide for its future.

One can hear the voices of those who helped to build this college over the past 45 years as well as the voices of the newest students, faculty and staff of GCC. It speaks not only of the college's collective impact in the community, but also of how all of our work is interconnected, interdependent and necessary for each and every GCC student to reach towards their highest potential. It also boldly states that our college is a learning community for our own development as well as for our students.
