A team of Franklin County human services organizations will present the Third Annual Community Opportunities Festival on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Greenfield Community College. The Festival's theme of "Give. Get. Connect." promotes awareness of services available to Franklin County residents and the extent of rewarding volunteer opportunities available in local service organizations.

Over two dozen area service organizations are expected to showcase their programs as well as their specific need for volunteer support. The event will be held in the newly renovated Core at Greenfield Community College. Tours of the new space will be available during the Festival, which will include:

• Local service agencies's exhibits, featuring available services in Franklin County.
• Volunteer opportunities available to students and adults in Franklin County.
• Light refreshments provided by Greenfield Community College.

The Community Opportunities Festival is sponsored by Greenfield Community College, RSVP (The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) of Hampshire and Franklin Counties, Greenfield Volunteers in Public Schools, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Franklin County and The ACT Volunteer Center at DIAL/SELF.
