  • America's Career InfoNet
    Find wages and employment trends, occupational requirements, state by state labor market conditions, millions of employer contacts nationwide, and the most extensive career resource library online.
  • MassCIS
    Designed by the Massachusetts Department of Employment and Training, this site provides users with multiple links that provide extensive information about hundreds of occupations. This site also provides assessments of preferred skills, interests and values, then ties their results to career options.
  • U.S. Dept. of Labor | Bureau of Labor Statistics | OOH
    Use the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH) to find out more about nearly 250 different types of careers. Information is given for each career field, including nature of the work, working conditions, employment outlook, required training, wages and more.
  • O*NET
    The O*NET (Occupational Information Network) database includes information on skills, abilities, knowledge, work activities, and interests associated with occupations.

    Designed by the State of Illinois, Career Click provides information on over 700 occupations and career briefs for each of the six major industries. Occupations can be sorted by alphabetical listing, training level, or wage range. Also includes video clips of selected occupations.

    Use this resources to read eBooks about careers online, anytime! eBooks are electronic versions of printed books. eBooks can be viewed online on any computer connected to the Internet. Since eBooks are online, they are available at your convenience—anywhere, anytime. Use the following search terms to generate loads of career titles: "great jobs," "careers for," and "opportunities in."
  • WMCCC—Health Programs
    Western Massachusetts Community College Consortium Health Programs is a great site for generating career options in allied health. Be sure to click on "Progam list," "Job search," and "How to explore" which provide a variety of links to health professional groups.
  • Reference USA
    Internet reference service from the library division of InfoUSA containing detailed information on more than 12 million U.S. businesses. This database is useful for generating career titles in a specific industry and especially informative for querying companies and organizations in a specific industry in a specific geographic area, or answering that ever-popular question, "Where can this type of employment be found?

    Internet Resource for online personality assessments, career advice, job search strategies and job position listings.
