GCC Offers Opportunity for Early Childhood and School Age Child Care Educators

Greenfield Community College is offering an exciting new program aimed at giving professionals in the early childhood education field a chance to earn an associate’s degree. The grant-funded program can pay tuition and fees for up to four courses over a year for students who are seeking degrees in Early Childhood Education, Liberal Arts in Education or a related degree. The program is offering one class to get everyone started beginning this summer. Massage clinic helps students to learn and practice their trade

Anyone who has ever had a massage knows how wonderful you feel when you are done. The Stillpoint Massage Therapy Certificate Program at Greenfield Community College requires its students to have practical experience before going out into the job world. That means the program offers student-led massage clinics regularly during the spring semester so students can practice on members of the community. The clinic also serves a second purpose of offering a therapeutic benefit that is often times financially out of reach for some people. The stipend of $15 per massage funds a scholarship to help a student set up a practice after they graduate....
