You are cordially invited to attend the 4th Annual Adjunct Faculty Dinner and Workshop on Monday, August 31st 4:30 – 7:30pm in the Dining Commons on the Main Campus. This event is co-sponsored by the Greenfield Community College Professional Association (the local chapter of the faculty and professional staff collective bargaining unit) and the College.
This evening will be an opportunity for new and returning adjunct faculty to interact with each other and department chairs, program coordinators and grouping deans over a delicious, light dinner with wine, beer and other beverages served. Dinner will be followed by a short program in which a panel of experienced GCC adjunct faculty will talk about their experiences and share strategies they have found helpful while teaching at GCC.
Stipends of $50 will be provided for all faculty attending. Please register by August 21st so we can have an accurate food and beverage count.
Recognizing many adjunct faculty are coming from other work and life responsibilities, the dinner and conversation is the first part of the evening, so we welcome you to arrive when you can.
New adjuncts- if you are planning on attending New Employee Orientation, also on August 31st , we invite you to join us on a tour of the campus immediately following lunch. We will end the tour in the Library where you will have the opportunity to meet with our Librarians and learn more about this important campus resource. You will then have some time to settle into your office, continue prepping your course or follow up on other details while you are on campus.
