You are invited to a presentation on “Food Security & Re-forestation in Southeast India” on Monday, March 3 from 12-1p in Sloan Theater. Abrah Dresdale will share stories from her 2014 David Bird Fellow in Tamil Nadu, India working on an “Edible Pathways” permaculture project in Auroville, an international ecovillage of 2,500 people. The goal of this project was to demonstrate small scale growing strategies appropriate for marginal spaces and arid landscapes.
This event is co-sponsored by GCC’s Farm and Food Systems program, Science Department, and the Permaculture Club, and is free and open to all. There will be a second evening presentation in the later spring open to the wider public.
