New easy-access admissions for part-time study!

Applicants need only take English placement tests and complete a GCC application for admission to enroll in the two-year track as a massage intent student. Math placement testing, interview with the MTC Program Coordinator, CPR and health requirements are required before entry into the second year of study as a full massage student.

Admission & fees

Admission to the Massage Therapy Program for full-time study requires completion of the standard Greenfield Community College application, available from GCC's Office of Admission, as well as a Program Application and health record forms unique to the Massage Therapy Certificate (MTC) program. All applications must be at least 18 years of age to begin classes. It is strongly recommended that you attend one of our informational meetings before applying to the program. Steps in the admission process - FULL-TIME STUDY

  1. Submit GCC application. Call (413) 775-1801 to request an application, or apply online.
  2. Only submit transcripts from previously attended colleges IF you have completed satisfactorily a 100-level math course within the past five years or college-level English and want to opt out of the math and English placements tests described in steps 4 & 5 below.
  3. Complete math placement test or math course (MAT 090) required for the MTC program. Refer to the MTC Program Application.
  4. Complete English placement test or English courses (ENG 090 and COL 090) required for the MTC program. Refer to the MTC Program Application.
  5. Meet with the Massage Therapy Program Coordinator.
  6. Submit health records and all immunization records required by the MTC program. Refer to the MTC Health Requirements Form.
