About the PNC program
Thank you for your interest in the Practical Nursing Certificate Program at Greenfield Community College. In ten-month’s time, our program can prepare you for a respected career as a practical nurse, who provides direct and competent bedside care for adults and children in nursing homes, doctor’s offices and the community.
Students in this program are required to take a rigorous combination of liberal arts and clinical nursing courses over 40 weeks between September and the end of June. The program prepares students for, but does not guarantee successful passing of, the LPN licensure examination. In addition, a direct articulation exists (on a space-available basis) with GCC's Associate Degree Nursing Program for students who wish to continue their education in an RN program.
