What is secondary postsecondary linkage?
Greenfield Community College is both a member and coordinator of the GCC Secondary Postsecondary CVTE Linkage Consortium. The consortium coordinates curricula between area high schools and Greenfield Community College to eliminate duplication of coursework and to streamline education in the changing technologies.
Articulation agreements have been developed with area high schools, which allow students to earn college credit for competencies they achieve while in high school.
Additional agreements are continuously being developed!
If you are entering GCC from a GCC Secondary Postsecondary Linkage member school, check with your guidance counselor for details regarding articulation agreements.
Other activities include:
Secondary Postsecondary Linkage career pathways days
College placement testing
College transitional services
The high schools included in the Consortium are Franklin County Technical School and Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School.
