UMass, Amherst Bachelor’s Business Administration ONLINE
Posted on Wednesday July 11th 2012
All of the business courses required for the Isenberg BBA Online degree are entirely online, not all predictor courses are.
Calculus and College writing/Composition I are currently not offered online through UMass Amherst.
With a GCC Associate degree however, the College Writing and Calculus requirement is not an issue as it has been completed as a requirement of the BAT Associate degree.
Mass Transfer Graduates are great candidates for this program; however they do not receive the tuition break as they would attending onsite. The online program is offered through CPE/Continuing and Professional Education, it is not state funded but revenue based.
The application fee is still waived and, with a 3.0 GPA, admission is guaranteed. As well if they fill out the correct application for the online program they will not have to pay the $400 New Student Orientation fee.
Students that are not Mass Transfer Graduates are also great candidates for this program. A successful applicant will have at least 27 transferable credits or an Associate degree, and as onsite, UMass looks for grades of B or better in the Isenberg predictor course work of Financial Accounting, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Calculus and Statistics with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher.
With a GPA of at least a 2.5 and calculus taken as the math course requirement, applicants have a strong chance of being accepted but are not guaranteed, as with the Associate Degree in BAT with a 3.0 gpa or better.
