A basic introduction to observing, identifying, harvesting and preserving native plants, herbs and weeds for edible and nutritional purposes. Topics also include how common weeds, including invasive species, can be turned in to value-added products-improving the productivity of farms, gardens or homesteads. Special requirements: Field trips required; students assume any travel costs, students must traverse uneven landscapes. This is the credit-free offering of AGR 116.
