Grades may be entered as soon as they are calculated.<\/p>\n<p>Grades:<\/p>\n<p>A = Excellent<br \/>\nA-<br \/>\nB+<br \/>\nB = Good<br \/>\nB-<br \/>\nC+<br \/>\nC = Satisfactory<br \/>\nC-<br \/>\nD = Poor<br \/>\nF = Failing<br \/>\nPA = Passing in a pass\/fail class<br \/>\nFA = Failing in a pass\/fail class<br \/>\nIN = Incomplete: Indicates work of acceptable quality where the student has failed to complete course requirements and the instructor wishes to allow more time for the completion of the work.<\/p>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse;width: 16.0747%;height: 119px\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 49.449%\">IA<br \/>\nIA-<br \/>\nIB+<br \/>\nIB<br \/>\nIB-<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 33.7838%\">IC+<br \/>\nIC<br \/>\nIC-<br \/>\nID<br \/>\nIF<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>O = Insufficient basis for evaluation: Indicates a student has discontinued attendance without formally withdrawing from the class or the college prior to the final withdrawal date. The O grade will be treated as an F in the calculation of the grade point average.<\/p>\n<p>CR = Credit (only valid for classes offered as CR\/NC)<\/p>\n<p>NC = No credit (only valid for classes offered as CR\/NC or for self-paced developmental math)<\/p>\n<p>For developmental classes, the letter grades are preceded by a \u201cD\u201d. E.g. \u201cA\u201d is recorded as \u201cDA\u201d. Note that \u201cD\u201d is not a valid grade for developmental classes.<\/p>\n<p>The names of students who officially dropped the course before the end of the No Record period will not appear on the roster. A W will appear in the final grade column for students who officially dropped the course during the W period. Please do not overtype the W grade. Failure or Incomplete Grade Reports must be completed for all students who earn grades of F, FA, NC, O or IN. Include a brief explanation of the grade in the report.<\/p>\n<p>Students must obtain their grades through their MyGCC accounts. No grades can be given out by phone or email. Directory Information does not include grades, so the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/registrar\/ferpa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)<\/a> prohibits posting grades on office doors or other locations as well.<\/p>\n<p>If you have questions please email <a href=\"mailto:registration@gcc.mass.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">registration@gcc.mass.edu<\/a>.
