If you are unemployed and/or haven’t applied for unemployment benefits, visit the MA Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) website to find out about unemployment benefits and programs designed to support people from different work backgrounds.
If you work part-time, you may still qualify for unemployment benefits. Go to www.mass.gov/service-details/working-part-time-while-receiving-unemployment-benefits to find out more.
Training Opportunities Program (TOP)
If you are unemployed and are (or are planning to become) a full-time GCC student, please click here to find out more about the Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) Training Opportunities Program (TOP). If you are eligible for TOP, then the DUA may award you with an extension of unemployment benefits for up to 26 weeks, while you are a full-time student in a qualifying GCC program.
