HSC 105 is a 5-credit college course that provides an opportunity to learn and understand basic concepts, attitudes and procedures of comprehensive nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings. Classroom, lab and supervised clinical practice teach students basic nursing and interpersonal communication skills and prepare students to take the CNA certification exam. Students can use this class to satisfy elective requirements for GCC’s Liberal Arts or Liberal Arts Health Science program, or to earn credit for prior learning in GCC’s Medical Assistant program.
