The Digital Traces of Pregnancy: Protecting Yourself in a Post-Roe World

On December 1, 2021 the Supreme Court will hear arguments over a Mississippi ban on pre-viability abortions, a law which has the potential to overturn Roe v. Wade. This webinar by GCC librarian and digital privacy advocate Claire Lobdell will examine the ways that our digital lives—including app use, social media, purchases, GPS data and more—expose information about our reproductive choices. In addition, this presentation will look at low-tech and high-tech ways to protect our personal information from being weaponized against us. Sponsored by the Nahman-Watson Library at GCC and the GCC Gender and Women’s Studies program. Register online.
