Theater Auditions — The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later Theater Auditions — The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later Auditions for this fall’s theater production of The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later, an epilogue to the play revolving around the 1998 horrific death of openly gay University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard, who was brutally beaten and left to die mainly—if not fully—due to his sexual orientation. Since most of the cast from the spring production, will be returning, auditions and crew signup will be one day only, with possible callbacks September 10, 4-7 p.m. Those auditioning will be given two separate monologues to perform, playing each character distinctly different (come early to look over the pieces). Rehearsals begin Monday, September 14, performances run November 5-15. Please do not audition if you cannot commit to rehearsals and all performances! RSVP requested for both cast and crew. Note—to help curb production costs, non-student community members are asked to pay a small theater production workshop fee (no one will be turned away if they are financially not able to pay the fee).
