Mary Stuart Rogers Scholarship

The Mary Stuart Rogers Scholarship is a $2,000 award for students coming to GCC in the fall, given to one student from each of the following local area high schools:

  • Greenfield High School
  • Four Rivers Charter School
  • Franklin County Technical School
  • Frontier Regional School
  • Pioneer Valley Regional School
  • Ralph Mahar Regional School
  • Turners Falls High School
  • Mohawk Trail Regional School

Applicants must:

  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA or demonstrated progress towards improving grades
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Submit an essay on the importance of continuing education and/or career goals
  • Special consideration for applicants with community service background

Please include information about the importance of continuing education and/or your education and career goals; any experiences relevant to your life, work and/or educational goals; volunteer or community service; your financial need; why it is important for you to be considered for an award; and any other information relevant to the award for which you are applying.

GCC students receive scholarships through the Foundation because many very generous people want to help you succeed in college and have a bright future. The donors of our scholarships are very interested to know in what way(s) their scholarship might help you achieve success. Please write a short thank you note to our donors and explain how receiving a scholarship is meaningful to you. In your note, also include what are your future career goals, and how this award will help you reach them.
