How do I reset my GCC account password in MyGCC?

Previously, you could reset your GCC account password from off campus using Outlook Web Access (OWA) . However, after the Google Migration, OWA is no longer available. In order to reset your GCC account password from off campus, follow these steps instead.

  1. From the blue Login button on the GCC Home Page, choose the MyGCC option.
  2. Login to MyGCC using your GCC username and current password.
  3. Once logged into MyGCC, click on the My Account menu option at the top of the page, and then choose the Security Management option.
  4. On the GCC Security Manager page, click on the blue Change my password button and then enter your current password, followed by your new password, entered twice. Your password should have the following characteristics: at least 8 characters in length, at least one upper case letter, at least one lower case letter, at least one number and at least one non-alphanumeric character such as a period or exclamation point. Click Save to save your new password.
  5. Once you have reset your GCC account password, it will sync with GCC Google and you can use the same password for both systems.
  6. If you have any trouble resetting your password, contact the Help Desk by emailing or calling 413-775-1350.

Please note: If you have used GCC Google Workspace previously (for example for Google Drive), you can continue to use your current GCC Google password to access Google, which may be different from your main GCC account password. It is not required that you change your password except if you have never used GCC Google Workspace previously. The next time your main GCC account password normally expires and you are forced to reset it, it will sync with your GCC Google account password and be the same from that point onward.

How can I access the GCC Directory in Google like we could in Outlook?

Accessing the GCC Directory in Google works very similarly as it did in Outlook.

To find a name to add to an email:

  1. If you are composing a new email in Google, you can click on the word To in the To field to open up your "My Contacts" which is your own personal address book.
  2. Once you are in My Contacts, you can click on the button that says My Contacts on the upper right, and choose the option Directory.
  3. This will bring up a full list of GCC accounts with names and emails who you can add to your To list for that email.

To see full Directory information:

  1. You can also see full Directory info by clicking on the icon at the top right of the main Google mail page that looks like a waffle - three rows of small squares. This icon allows you to switch among various Google apps within Google Workspace.
  2. Once you click on the waffle, click on the Contacts app.
  3. Once you are in the Contacts app you can click on the Directory option in the left column to see a full list of GCC accounts.
  4. Click on any individual account name for complete information on that person including phone, office, title and department.
  5. Please note that any users that have Google Voice numbers assigned will display their phone number in the Directory listing as their Google Voice number rather than their office phone number. You can tell the difference because Google Voice numbers are preceded with a + sign and do not have 775 exchanges. We are working on fixing this, but in the meantime, you can view the office phone number of someone with a Google Voice number by clicking on their name to pull up a directory card for that person. Their office (work) phone number will appear on the directory card.
