{"id":502236,"date":"2019-08-15T15:29:50","date_gmt":"2019-08-15T19:29:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/library\/?page_id=502236"},"modified":"2020-08-24T14:43:17","modified_gmt":"2020-08-24T18:43:17","slug":"technology-support-for-students-with-disabilities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/library\/technology\/technology-support-for-students-with-disabilities\/","title":{"rendered":"Support for Students with Disabilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>The Library at Greenfield Community College strives to provide students with disabilities access to our space, resources, and services.<\/p>\n<p>The following adaptive equipment, technology, and resources are available in the Library:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Read &amp; Write Gold screen reading and dictation software on every library computer<\/li>\n<li>Other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/enable\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Windows<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/accessibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mac<\/a> built-in assistive technology (i.e. screen magnification, color adaptations, etc.) on all library computers<\/li>\n<li>Scanners available for public use in study rooms A &amp; C; the south end; and the library classroom<\/li>\n<li>Adjustable height desks in study rooms A, B, and C<\/li>\n<li>Audio books in the GCC Library\u2019s collection, as well as through many other libraries in the C\/W MARS network<\/li>\n<li>Free ear plugs available in the solarium<\/li>\n<li>Scent-free space in study room F<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Librarians are trained in using the above software and hardware. Please ask one of the reference librarians for help.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals requiring any accommodations not listed are encouraged to contact <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/ds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Disability &amp; Accessibility Services<\/a>.
