Registered GCC students may request an ID card in-person at the library, or<br \/>\nonline through MyGCC (see instructions for online photo submission below).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You must be registered for a class in order to receive a GCC photo student ID card.<br \/>\nApplication and acceptance to the college alone is not enough to issue an ID card. We do not<br \/>\nmake ID cards for alumni.<\/li>\n<li>Chosen first name will appear on the ID card if it has been entered in myGCC. If not, your<br \/>\nlegal first name will appear on the ID card. Contact the library if you have any questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions for Requesting a GCC Student ID on Campus<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Visit the library during regular service hours and ask for an ID card at the front desk.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0You will be asked to verify your identity by providing a government or school issued photo ID<br \/>\nor by logging into myGCC in front of a librarian. If you are not able to meet these criteria, we<br \/>\nwill accept 2 alternate forms of ID, including:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Social security card<\/li>\n<li>Birth certificate<\/li>\n<li>Credit or debit card in your name<\/li>\n<li>Utility or bank records with your name, dated within the past 60 days<\/li>\n<li>College correspondence with your name, dated within the past 60 days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions for Requesting a GCC Student ID Online<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log into MyGCC.<\/li>\n<li>Upload a photo to MyGCC by clicking the photo icon in the lower right-hand corner. The<br \/>\nphoto must meet all requirements (see list below).<\/li>\n<li>Check the box that says, \u201cPlease check if you would like a printed ID card mailed to your<br \/>\nhouse. Cards are mailed on a weekly basis.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Library staff will notify you if there are any issues with the photo you submitted. Your request<br \/>\nfor an ID card will not be processed until all photo requirements are met.<\/li>\n<li>Your ID card will be mailed to the address listed in your Banner account, and should take approximately 1-2 weeks to arrive.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>ID Photo Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a JPEG, 300 x 400 pixels and under 1.0 MB in size.<\/li>\n<li>Be of the student, taken within the last six months and reflecting current appearance.<\/li>\n<li>Be in color, taken in front of a solid white background.<\/li>\n<li>Have a small space between the top of the head and the top of the image.<\/li>\n<li>Have a slightly larger space between the bottom of the chin and the bottom of the image.<\/li>\n<li>Be taken in full-face view, facing the camera (no side views or tilted head).<\/li>\n<li>Show a natural smile or neutral facial expression.<\/li>\n<li>No masks, sunglasses, headphones, wireless mobile devices, or other similar items. Glasses<br \/>\nwith clear lenses and head coverings worn regularly for medical or religious<br \/>\npurposes are fine.<\/li>\n<li>Photos should not be digitally modified in any way. Filters, background removal tools,<br \/>\ntouch-up tools like Facetune, and AI generated or modified images are not allowed.<\/li>\n<li>No group photos.<\/li>\n<li>Not be derogatory in any way.<\/li>\n<li>GCC reserves the right to reject any photo we feel is inappropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GCC student ID cards are issued at the library (third floor, core) during regular service hours; no appointment necessary.
