Call for Nominations for Educators and Administrators

The Franklin County Collaboration for Children and Greenfield Community College are seeking nominations for the Abigail Adams Elliot Awards for Spring 2012. These awards seek to recognize individuals working with children ages birth to five, who have made exemplary contributions to young children and their families in Franklin County. The awards are open to nominations from the public, and will be judged by a panel of local citizens and early childhood professionals. Nominations may be submitted by parents, early childhood practitioners, supervisors or other community members.

Two awards will be given. Below are qualifications for each award:

AWARD #1: For educators currently working, or who have worked, with young children birth to five years of age in an early childhood classroom or family child care setting in Franklin County, who have significantly affected the lives of children, families, and/or the community.

AWARD #2: For administrators in the early childhood field who have made a significant impact on the field of early childhood in their work with staff, parents, families and the community.
