The Greenfield Community College Foundation mission and vision is to support Greenfield Community College-- its students, faculty, staff and alumni--and to help ensure that GCC is positioned to continue to provide access and opportunity to every student who seeks an education.

On Sunday, May 6, President Bob Pura, with GCC Foundation Board President Diane Esser and Vice-President Michael Johnson presented 76 GCC students with 82 scholarships. The GCC Dining Commons was vibrant with more than 200 people participating in the event, as family and friends of the award winners joined GCC faculty and staff to recognize the students' accomplishments.

Reflecting on the student success being celebrated at the Scholarship Awards Ceremony held near the end of the academic year, Pura said "In the past few weeks our students have provided accounting services, health care and presented permaculture design. They have danced, played music, read poetry, displaying their art and entrepreneurial spirit.  Our students sing, write, move, think and communicate with increasing clarity, innovation and courage".  He added, "In celebration of our students' achievements, the generous support of our community and all that is GCC, I say Congratulations !"
