When it comes to community college in Massachusetts, Greenfield Community College is the best, according to educational ranking website Niche.com.

GCC was ranked #1 on Niche's "2022 Best Community Colleges in Massachusetts" list. The rankings are based on rigorous analysis of reviews and statistics from the US Department of Education and are released annually.

Included in Niche's rankings are grades for various aspects of educational institutions. GCC scored a B or better in nearly every category, including diversity, student life, safety and location.

"Greenfield Community College is a great school that focuses on [its] success in students, and is willing to help them in any way possible," read one five-star review on the site.

"This is one of the best local colleges. The faculty and staff are very friendly and are very supportive," read another review.

According to Pennsylvania-based Niche, "Niche grades and rankings are calculated using dozens of public data sets and millions of reviews," with their data scientists and user researchers rigorously analyzing data and user opinions "to assess the key aspects of K-12 Schools, Colleges and Places to Live."
