The Goods will return with custom fashion designer <\/span>The Rainbow Rack<\/span><\/a> and a special grand opening celebration on Friday, Sept. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Greenfield Community College and the City of Greenfield have partnered to bring back The Goods Pop-up Shop<\/a> to help artists, makers, and crafters sell their items on Main Street in downtown Greenfield.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Goods is at a new location at 357 Main Street, next to the Garden Cinema. The pop-up storefront is a place where artists and makers from the region can temporarily use the space as a cost-effective way to get their products to customers downtown. It's also being used to enhance tourism events in the region, like the Franklin County Fair and the Greenfield Holiday Pop-Up Market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"GCC is honored to be part of this exciting initiative. Pop-ups are a key component of the work we are doing to support small businesses and early stage entrepreneurs across Franklin County develop, launch and sustain their businesses, and we believe that over time pop-up vendors will become storefront owners in downtown Greenfield and beyond,\" Max Fripp, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at GCC, said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Goods is part of the city's <\/span>Local Rapid Recovery Planning Program<\/span><\/a>, a state-funded effort focused on helping revitalize downtowns, town centers and commercial areas across the state that were impacted by COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Goods had a soft opening on Sept. 9 when it hosted a \"We Love Franklin County Shop\" in honor of the Franklin County Fair the same weekend, providing four artists with space to display and sell their products.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The next entrepreneur in the storefront will be <\/span>The Rainbow Rack<\/span><\/a>, a custom fashion designer who will be offering upcycled vintage clothing, as well as classes in textile work. The Rainbow Rack will have a special grand opening celebration at the location on Friday, Sept. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Rainbow Rack will be at The Goods on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., starting Sept. 18 through Oct. 16.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"This is such an amazing opportunity for me and other entrepreneurs,\" Kelly Surprenant, The Rainbow Rack owner, said. \"I've been thinking about whether or not my business is ready to move from selling my products primarily at festivals and fairs to having a full-time storefront. By running a month-long pop-up I'll be able to get data to help inform whether or not my business is ready to take this next big step.\"<\/span><\/p>\n
