I have missed a lot of boats.
\nMost of them I saw clearly
\nonly when I looked
\nbehind me.<\/p>\n
Boats I coulda, shoulda, woulda boarded
\nand sailed away to some place
\nhappier than here.<\/p>\n
But I have only this boat. This houseboat,
\nthis beat up leaky canoe, this something
\nor other called my life.<\/p>\n
Lots of currents, lots of eddies, lots
\nof snags and lots of lovely scenery
\npassing by.<\/p>\n
I am not in the scenery
\nbecause I am in the boat
\nwishing for better oars and hunting
\nthe best place to land.<\/p>\n
If you only land at the best places
\nand pass by all else
\nthat might not be perfect,
\nyou go forever
\nlonging to at last land home.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t know what it\u2019s like
\nto go home, I just know
