\nAs the ocean laps against the shore in a rhythmic downbeat
\nBits of rock tumble and shake as the sea vibrates them
\nCreating a sound like fluctuating TV static
\nShells slide through the surf
\nAnd kelp washes ashore, shushing everyone with a gentle chhhhhhh\u2014
\nAs the ocean slams into a rock, sending sand and water flying
\nSending an explosion though the night
\nErupting in a burst and
\nA spattering of droplets
\nA showering of light-refracting crystals
\nAs the cacophony turns into a symphony
\nAnd everyone stops to listen to the melody
\nHaunting and beautiful and soothing,
\nSlowly getting softer and softer
\nAs your eyes grow heavy and you drift off to sleep,
