Medical and religious exemptions are allowed by the regulations and must be renewed annually. Please email <a href=\"mailto:healthrecords@gcc.mass.edu\">healthrecords@gcc.mass.edu<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \u2500\u2500 WHO MUST COMPLY \u2500\u2500 --><\/p>\n<p>You must meet the MDPH immunization requirements if <strong>any<\/strong> of the following apply:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time students taking <strong>12 credits or more<\/strong> who are <strong>under 30 years old<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>International students <strong>under 30 years old<\/strong> on a visa, exchange or visiting classes program, regardless of credit load<\/li>\n<li>All <strong>health occupations students<\/strong>, regardless of age or credit load\n<ul>\n<li>Nursing, Practical Nursing, Paramedic, Medical Assistant and Surgical Technology students must meet additional requirements and deadlines specified in their program documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"callout\"><i class=\"fas fa-circle-info\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>New students in the first two categories must provide documentation of immunity as specified below. Failure to comply will result in a <strong>HOLD<\/strong> being placed on your account, preventing registration for new courses.<br \/>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"callout warning\"><i class=\"fas fa-heart-pulse\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p><strong>Health occupations students<\/strong> must comply with the specific requirements outlined in their program documents. <em>Health occupations students who miss deadlines jeopardize their placement in the intended program as well as their ability to continue in a program once started.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<!-- \u2500\u2500 SUBMITTING RECORDS \u2500\u2500 --><\/p>\n<div class=\"su-accordion su-u-trim gcc\"><div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Required Immunizations<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<div class=\"vaccine-section\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hepatitis B<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Three dose series (or two dose Heplisav-B) or a positive anti-HBs (surface antibody) blood test\n<ul>\n<li>Health occupations students need\u00a0<strong>BOTH<\/strong>\u00a0a vaccine series\u00a0<strong>AND<\/strong>\u00a0a positive titer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>MMR<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Two dose series of vaccines or a positive IgG antibody blood titer to each disease<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tdap<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Must have one dose and a history of DTaP primary series or age appropriate catch-up\n<ul>\n<li>If over 10 years since your last vaccination, then a booster is needed, either Td or TDaP<\/li>\n<li>Health occupations students must have a current\u00a0Tdap less than 10 years old\u00a0(Td booster not accepted)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Varicella\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014 Two dose series or a positive IgG antibody blood titer\n<ul>\n<li>Non-health majors may use a healthcare provider verified history of chicken pox with the date or your age noted; this history may be in your health records and not on the immunization list so check for it if missing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Meningococcal<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Only for students 16 through 21 years of age AND taking 12 or more credits:\n<ul>\n<li>One dose of a MenACWY conjugate vaccine on or after 16th birthday or a signed MA Department of<br \/>\nPublic Health waiver<\/li>\n<li><em>Meningococcal type B vaccinations (Bexsero, Trumenba) do not meet this requirement<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recommended, but not required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Flu (Influenza)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014\u00a0<em>Recommended<\/em>\u00a0for all students; required with each flu season for health occupations students<\/li>\n<li><strong>COVID-19<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014\u00a0<em>Recommended<\/em> for all students; required for health occupations students (contact Health Records for current requirements)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- \u2500\u2500 CONTACT \u2500\u2500 --><\/p>\n<div class=\"contact-block\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"contact-block\">\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Submitting Your Records<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p>Immunization records may be submitted to the Health Records Office in person or online. Records will take <strong>three to five days to process<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In person:<\/strong> Bring a physical copy of your immunization records to the Health Records Office, located within the Office of Admission at <strong>C103<\/strong> in GCC&#8217;s Main Building<\/li>\n<li><strong>By fax:<\/strong> (413) 775-1827<\/li>\n<li><strong>Online:<\/strong> Use our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/registrar\/upload\/\">Secure Document Upload<\/a> feature<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All records must include your name and date of birth, the vaccinations received and date of administration with the administering site&#8217;s name, and\u2014for blood tests\u2014the lab and\/or physician&#8217;s office name, the result, and the date of collection.
