Credit is generally awarded based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coursework is completed at an institution accredited by one of the seven regional accreditation agencies in the US<\/li>\n<li>Coursework is complete with a minimum grade of C-<\/li>\n<li>Coursework is similar in content to courses offered at GCC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>GCC requires that students submit official transcripts in order to be considered for transfer credit.\u00a0 Transcripts must be sent either electronically to <a href=\"mailto:admission@gcc.mass.edu\">admission@gcc.mass.edu<\/a> or via postal mail. Transcripts must be received directly from the sending institution in order to be considered official.<\/p>\n<p>Once a transcript is evaluated you will receive an email notification indicating which, if any, credits were accepted\/awarded.\u00a0 If you believe an error or omission was made during this evaluation, you can request a reevaluation by submitting a request in MyGCC.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/my.gcc.mass.edu\" class=\"gccbutton\">Request Transfer Credit Re-Evaluation <i class=\"fa-light fa-arrow-right-from-line\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Official transcripts are required of all GCC students.
