In addition, a diverse group of adjunct faculty teach many of the science department classes and labs. She received her BS in Biology from Muskingum College in Ohio and her MS in Biology from the University of Nevada in Reno. Some of her graduate research included studies of behavioral ecology in her favorite charismatic microfauna (kangaroo rats) and megafauna (bighorn sheep). He has a BS in Electrical Engineering, an MS in Science Education, 12 years of engineering experience, and several decades of teaching experience. He brings experience in solar building design, amateur radio work, computer applications, artificial intelligence and vision work, and engineering experience in meteorological weather balloons, piezoelectric transducer design and fabrication, resinate deposition based ceramic microcircuits, commercial radio transmitters and repeaters, antenna design, as well as business experience as an industrial process consultant and troubleshooter. He has taught courses in electronic circuit design, both analog and digital, most programming languages, robotics \u2013 motion and vision, several levels of physics \u2013 classical and modern, electrical wiring, astronomy, meteorology, and industrial electronic control systems. She received her Physician\u2019s Assistant (PA) degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and her Master\u2019s in Science Education from Harvard University. Prior to teaching college science courses, she was an emergency room physician assistant and a health manager for Head Start. She has been teaching full-time at GCC since 2015. She loves hiking mountains and riding her fat tire bike. She holds an AS in Midwifery from Southwest Technical Community College, a certificate in permaculture design from Oregon State University, a BA in liberal arts from Union Institute and University, and an MEd in Natural Science and Environmental Education from Hamline University in addition to being a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Licensed Vermont Midwife (LM).
