Learn sustainable farming skills
\n<\/strong>Rising and graduating seniors earn three college credits\u2014free!<\/em><\/p>\n

What is sustainable farming?\u00a0How is it done? Can you earn a living? How do you plan? What do you plant? What about soil, water, fertilization, tools and machines? When do you harvest? Where do you sell your produce? Where do animals fit in? Explore answers to these questions with local farmer Kyle Bostrom in AGR 118 Introduction to Sustainable Farming Skills<\/strong>, a class that combines classroom learning with hands-on experience at Bostrom Farm in Greenfield.<\/p>\n

Class meets June 24-August 12, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9am\u201312 noon<\/p>\n

Plan an organic garden
\n<\/strong>Rising and graduating seniors earn one college credit\u2014free!<\/em><\/p>\n

Learn how and why to create an organic garden at your home or at your school.\u00a0Using GCC\u2019s gardens and greenhouse, AGR 109 Organic Gardening<\/strong> teaches participants to\u00a0plan and design a garden, prepare the soil, plant the seeds, and prepare for harvesting and storage.\u00a0Come alone or bring a team!<\/p>\n

Class meets July 11\u201315,\u00a0Monday-Friday, 9am\u201312 noon<\/p>\n[bs_notification type=\"info\"]\n
