Refunds are determined by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The date your withdrawal or course drop is processed<\/li>\n<li>Whether the course is standard or non-standard length<\/li>\n<li>Whether the class was canceled by the college<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If a class is canceled by GCC, you will receive a full refund.<\/p>\n<p>Refunds are typically processed within 4\u20136 weeks after eligibility is confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>If you drop or withdraw after the refund deadline, you will not receive a refund and will remain responsible for the charges.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Deadlines<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p>Refund amounts vary depending on when you drop or withdraw. Deadlines are published on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"\/academics\/calendar\">academic calendar<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Your billing statement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Non-standard or shortened courses follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/registrar\/class-deadlines\/\">different refund schedules<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The following fees are generally non-refundable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$20 registration fee<\/li>\n<li>$35 payment plan fee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Common Refund Scenarios<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p>If you withdraw before the semester begins, tuition charges for dropped classes may be fully reduced. Registration and payment plan fees may still apply.<\/p>\n<p>If you withdraw after the semester begins, refunds are determined by the published refund deadlines. After those deadlines pass, no refunds or reductions are issued.<\/p>\n<p>If you drop one class and add another during the refund period, you may be charged full tuition for the newly added class.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Special Circumstances<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p>If you are withdrawing due to medical circumstances, standard refund deadlines may not apply. In these cases, you must submit a refund appeal. Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/sfs\/student-billing\/appeals\/\">appeals section<\/a> for details and required documentation.<\/p>\n<p>Refund policies for non-credit courses and workshops vary by program. Refer to your registration materials or contact the program office directly.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Financial Aid Refunds<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p>If you receive federal or other financial aid, your aid eligibility may change when you withdraw or drop classes.<\/p>\n<p>Financial aid is earned based on how long you attend classes.
