If you stopped attending classes but did not complete the official process, you must first submit a Request for Withdrawal from All Classes form to the Registrar\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>What to Include in Your Appeal<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p>Your appeal should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clearly explain your situation<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the extenuating circumstances that prevented attendance<\/li>\n<li>Include supporting documentation that strengthens your request<\/li>\n<li>List your full name, student ID, semester for which you are appealing and contact information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If additional documentation is requested, your appeal will not be processed until that information is received.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>How to Submit an Appeal<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p><strong>Email (Preferred Method):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit your request for appeal from your GCC student email account to <a href=\"mailto:appeals@gcc.mass.edu\">appeals@gcc.mass.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<li>In the subject line, include &#8220;Appeal&#8221; and the semester and year for which you are appealing<\/li>\n<li>If you are including supporting documents, you may attach them as scans or files<\/li>\n<li><strong>Do not send sensitive personally identifiable information by email<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mail (Alternative):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Greenfield Community College<br \/>\nStudent Financial Services Office<br \/>\nATTN: Student Appeals<br \/>\nOne College Drive<br \/>\nGreenfield, MA 01301<\/p>\n<p>You may also submit supporting materials by mail or fax.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Medical Appeals<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p>If your appeal is based on medical reasons, follow this two-step process:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Request a medical withdrawal and receive official approval through the Registrar&#8217;s Office or Dean of Students. Do not include medical records with your financial appeal.<\/li>\n<li>After the medical withdrawal is approved, submit your separate refund appeal with a copy of the medical withdrawal approval notice.
