We encourage victims to reach out right away\u2014we are here to help.<\/p>\n<a href=\"\/report\/\" class=\"gccbutton red\">Report a Title IX Incident <i class=\"fa-solid fa-message-exclamation\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/a>\n<p><strong>Victims have the right not to make a report to anyone.<\/strong> GCC strongly encourages victims of gender-based discrimination, sexual harassment or sexual violence to seek counseling, support and\/or medical attention when needed. If you choose to report what has happened to you, there are several options available to you.<\/p>\n<p>With the exception of the GCC Wellness Center acting in their professional capacity (with whom you may speak confidentially unless a potential risk and\/or safety becomes apparent), all others at the college whom you might tell what happened to you are required to report the matter promptly to the Title IX Coordinator.<\/p>\n<h2>Informal Resolutions<\/h2>\n<p>Any of the parties involved in a particular matter may request the intervention of the Title IX Coordinator to assist in resolving that matter informally. Likewise, where appropriate, the Title IX Coordinator may attempt to reach an informal and prompt resolution of an issue. An informal resolution is achieved through open or closed dialogue between the parties that allows for the airing of any misunderstandings or disputed issues. Parties reserve their right to withdraw from the informal resolution process and resume the Complaint process at any time. If the parties come to an informal resolution, its terms are reduced to writing and the matter is thereafter considered resolved. Please note, however, that this informal procedure shall not be used as a sole measure in cases involving sexual harassment or violence, or in cases involving student allegations of sexual harassment or violence of any type by an employee.<\/p>\n<h2>Formal Resolutions<\/h2>\n<p>Victims should submit a complaint\/report online to initiate the formal resolution process.<\/p>\n<a href=\"\/report\/\" class=\"gccbutton red\">Report a Title IX Incident <i class=\"fa-solid fa-message-exclamation\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Title IX Coordinator can help you understand your options.
