The service area at the front desk is the hub for interactions between librarians, staff, and library users. Here, we assist with finding and utilizing library resources and answering general questions. Directly in front of this area, you\u2019ll find seven quick-use computer stations, the main printer, a lobby with magazines and newspapers, and a family-friendly Play Patch. This is also where all three library entrances are located. This area tends to be bustling and lively, with frequent foot traffic and a higher noise level.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
<\/span>A quiet space with minimal noise and distraction<\/div>\n
Consider heading to the south end of the library. This area features study rooms and carrels, including some equipped with computers, providing a quieter environment for more focused work.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
<\/span>A place for group study and collaboration<\/div>\n
Study rooms are available on a first come, first served basis at the south end of the library. These rooms are suitable for both individual and group study. The study rooms are not soundproof and we ask that you be mindful of noise levels to ensure a productive environment for everyone.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Check out the solarium at the front end of the library. It offers comfortable seating, spacious tables, and excellent views. <\/span>Lots of computers<\/div>\n
The library features a classroom equipped with 12 computer workstations and a printer, available during regular library hours. Please note that this room may be reserved for library instruction or workshops, during which times it will be unavailable. These sessions are posted on the whiteboard outside the classroom. If the computer lab is in use, additional computers are accessible near the front desk, in all study rooms, and in many study carrels. Additionally, currently enrolled students can borrow laptops for use outside the library.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
<\/span>To talk on your cell phone or have a Zoom call<\/div>\n
While cell phone use is allowed in the library, we encourage you to set your phone to silent or vibrate mode. Please keep conversations brief and be mindful of your volume. For extended phone calls or Zoom meetings, we recommend using one of the study rooms or finding an appropriate space outside of the library.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
<\/span>To listen to music or watch a movie<\/div>\n
You can use any library or personal computer for this purpose, but we ask that you use headphones or move to a group study room with the door closed to minimize noise. DVD drives and headphones are available for checkout at the circulation desk.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
<\/span>To have a snack or a drink<\/div>\n
Food and drink are permitted in the library. However, to protect our collections, furniture, and equipment, please handle them carefully.
