{"id":29,"date":"2011-02-14T14:36:28","date_gmt":"2011-02-14T19:36:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/xsafety\/"},"modified":"2026-04-03T08:24:47","modified_gmt":"2026-04-03T12:24:47","slug":"policies","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/xsafety\/policies\/","title":{"rendered":"Policies"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/webdocs\/safety\/Video-Surveillance-Policy.pdf\">Video Surveillance Policy<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/xsafety\/files\/2011\/02\/BombThreatSuspObj-Comm-11072013.pdf\">Bomb Threat &amp; Suspicious Object Policy<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sexual Assault Policy - does this belong here, do we even actually have one?<\/p>\n<p>Sexual assault, as defined in the Federal Bureau of Investigation Uniform Crime Reporting System, includes forcible and non-forcible offenses for which an individual may be prosecuted under the law and\/or disciplined in accordance with campus disciplinary procedures.<\/p>\n<p>When an allegation of sexual assault is made, the college will advise the alleged victim of their option to pursue criminal prosecution under the Massachusetts criminal statutes. In addition, appropriate campus disciplinary action may be pursued. Sanctions for sexual assault violations may include, in addition to criminal charges, suspension, dismissal, or expulsion from the college.<\/p>\n<p>If a person receives a report of or discovers a possible sexual assault on campus he\/she should notify the Director of Public Safety immediately; or, if in the evening, the Campus Police Officer on duty or security personnel at the Public Safety Office, or a faculty or staff member. It is extremely important that these procedures be followed to ensure that appropriate and administrative services be provided. Once an assault is reported, the person to whom the report is made becomes responsible for implementing established procedure.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Video Surveillance Policy Bomb Threat &amp;
