A PLACE CALLED HOME

I am in a place called home
under my arm
In between my toes
in the fire of my belly
all over the tapestry of infinite cells
of my eyes ability
and that of my ears, my nose
within and around this temple I call body

I am in a place called home
within the confines of my mind
and into the beyond vast horizons of this planet

Home in my place in the chain of chains
I feel the texture of home
walking barefoot in a garden
on a beach both wet and dry

climbing steps in a Paris subway
descending a snow covered mountain on skis
whispering to a little one I love

I feel in that place called home
eating fresh picked sugar snap peas
slicing onions, preparing foods
eating the apples of Eden

home while choosing colors for a painting
words for a poem
thoughts for a prayer
moves for my body

this place, this NOW is
my place called home
