Tricia Donovan Memorial Scholarships

Tricia Donovan served as a High School Equivalency instructor for many years, during which time she also worked toward her Ph.D. at the UMass School of Education in Amherst, completing her program in 2006. Her decades of work improved the lives of thousands who may never have succeeded after traditional education turned out to not be a good fit for their learning journey.

To honor and continue Tricia’s legacy of compassion and joy, her family and friends have raised funds for an endowed scholarship in her name at GCC to ensure that support from the Tricia Donovan Scholarship will be in place to help students for years to come.

The Tricia Donovan Memorial Scholarship Fund is a permanently endowed fund established to support current Greenfield Community College students who have obtained their High School Equivalency. 2023 award: $650

The Tricia Donovan Family Scholarship Fund is a permanently endowed fund established to support new Greenfield Community College students who are single mothers who have obtained their High School Equivalency. 2023 award: $2,000

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but awards are given only once per year, in the spring.
