Bookends Kick-Off: Running with Sherman

Bookends, a collaboration between Greenfield Community College and Greenfield Public Library, is an intergenerational book group with a focus on discussions that are based on different backgrounds and perspectives as a means to bring our community closer together—open to anyone 13–130! Join us to read Running with Sherman by Christopher McDougall, a heartwarming true story about the author’s journey to rehabilitate a neglected donkey by training him to run in a burro race, highlighting themes of resilience, healing and the deep bond between humans and animals. This is a preliminary meeting for anyone who would like to be paired with a young reading partner in advance of our full book group meeting in April. RSVP please!
