Together: A Community Book Discussion

What if building a stronger community begins with something as simple—and as powerful—as connecting with one another? Join students, faculty, staff and community members for an intergenerational discussion of Together: The Healing Power of Human Connection in a Sometimes Lonely World by Dr. Vivek H. Murthy, former U.S. Surgeon General.

In Together, Murthy explores the importance of human connection to our individual well-being and the health of our communities. At a time when loneliness and disconnection affect people of all ages, this book invites us to consider how we build meaningful relationships, strengthen our sense of belonging and create communities where everyone can thrive.

Come share ideas, learn from one another’s experiences and explore how we can put the power of connection into practice in our everyday lives and across generations. Whether you’re a student, a GCC employee or a member of the surrounding community, your perspective is welcome.
